Very impressive – The camera went out on my MacBook Air. The AppleCare+ had run out. The nearest Apple repair is farther than I’d like to drive, and they quoted me $300 on the phone. So to Amazon I ran, as usual. I was hoping for a decent camera. I mean, I am not a creator. I mostly just video chat with friends and family. This was basically a “no-name” brand, and it was DIRT CHEAP. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! I unpacked it from the box and plugged it in. At first I was convinced something was wrong. Nothing told me it was being installed. I looked at the little instruction book, and it said I could double-check installation in Photo Booth. Lo and behold, there I was – age spots, wrinkles, saggy bits, and all. I called one of my besties, and she said the quality was fabulous. So, there you have it. It just works. I highly recommend – especially at this price!

That being said, the microphone is bad, I switched to my laptop’s microphone immediately because nobody could hear me, the audio is very muffled. So if you don’t need the microphone or have another one, this is a good option.
