Maybe Not for a Serious Flight Simmer – I have used flight simulators on and off for a few years and recently started getting more serious. I wanted as close to the real thing when flying a plane as possible and without rudder pedals, it’s not the real deal. I purchased these rudder pedals to use with X-Plane 11. I read a lot of reviews and was leaning toward a very high end set of pedals, but was not sure if I was going to continue using flight simulators so based on the reviews and price, I figured these would be a good start and allow me to get the feel I was looking for. That said, here is my take on the Thrustmaster TFRP Rudder pedals relative to using them with flight simulation software not games. If you want to know a bit more about flight simulators and the peripherals available to help you make a decision, read my extra ramblings at the end of this review.

Somewhat disappointed – Works fine, but the center detent is less than amazing and can be a challenge during landing ops and takeoff roll. I hate to say this because I am a fan of TM products, but these feel cheap I was expecting the quality to be like their other products.

Note: I purchased the ThrustMaster Warthog Hotas (Joystick and Throttle System) which is also an all-metal design, months ago, now with the purchase of the ThrustMaster TRP Rudder Peddles, that completes my “Big Boy” Flight/Space simulator system!!!….Note: I must also add that this ThrustMaster Warthog Hotas Flight is really accurate replica of the actual famous A-10 Warthog Air Force aircraft flight stick system…The reason why I would know that is because I am a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran who was trained as an “Aircraft Maintenance Specialist” on the B-52 Bomber and the KC-135 air refueling aircraft with extensive knowledge of the famous A-10 Warthog (Tank Killer). This flight system is a little “Pricy/expensive but if you want to play with “BIG BOYS” to me who is a 73-year-old Vietnam War Veteran/Flight Simmer, it is worth every penny!!!.. THIS THRUSTMASTER WARTHOG HOTAS FLIGHT SYSTEM IS SERIOUS….
