Great buy and even better vendor – We purchased the refurbished toughbook for automotive shop use. I was a bit leery about buying a refurb unit due to a prior bad experience with another vendor. The unit arrived in better shape than expected. It arrived quickly and we were impressed with it’s functionality and abilities. The real test and most impressive part of the purchase came a few days later when the unit would not boot up. My heart sank,here we go again. We called the tech line and surprisingly a person answered who was knowledgeable and courteous. He apologized for the issue and began instructing my technician how to trouble shoot the problem. Within a few minutes it was determined that a stick of ram was faulty. He instructed my tech to remove the one stick of ram as the unit would function with one of the 8 meg sticks removed. Once that was done the unit started and functioned. The person then promised to ship us a replacement immediately, which he did. The replacement stick arrived within 2 days. That’s how service should be. Excellent company to deal with and we are looking forward to purchasing another unit from them. It’s nice to see a company care about what they are selling and are willing to stand behind their product. Great job!! Highly recommended.

Bad Screen – Only had it for 6 months & the screen is already jacked up. Not sure if it can even be repaired. This is why I don’t like buying refurbish equipment, but we didn’t have any other option due to the software that needs to be run with an older system.

Awesome deal – Arrived very quickly , took it out of the packaging and very surprised in the condition considering it is refurbished . Not a scratch or mark on it , looks brand new and everything works as it should so far .

Replacement works but very used – Amazon renewed. They claim it will look almost new with little to no signs of wear. The first one they sent me did indeed look almost new. Too bad it didn’t work. The screen was black and would not turn on. I sent it back for replacement. I can’t complain about the performance of the replacement. It works great. But it is pretty beat up. There are some pretty serious scuffs on the case as well as a couple of scratches on the screen. One of the keys has been replaced with a completely different looking one and another key is so worn out you can’t read it. Luckily I know what’s supposed to be there. Someone had written “Attitude” above the screen that you can see when the light hits it right. There are signs of repair to some of the covers on the sides. But, like I said, it works great and it came with everything they said it would. So, if you are OK with spending this kind of money for a used laptop that works good, go for it. I’m keeping it.
