Who knew Renewed could be so good – Absolute stunning, flawless on the outside, no sign of wear! The display is super bright, the keyboard feels better than my MacBook Air. With this i5, 8gb/256gb it will manage everything I do. I am a photo enthusiast and does quite well with photos. A new release of the photos app will be exciting, some very nice changes comning. It updated to Windows 11 and I could not be more please. Some say the sound is not as good, well for most of us it will be just fine.

Software Issues out of the box – Product came in original Microsoft Certified Refurbished box, laptop is in pristine/perfect conditions. I only had some problem with the software, windows was very out of date and had to reinstall because it wasn’t installed properly. 8.5/10

This is an amazing value – OK, I’ll admit: I was extremely skeptical when buying this “renewed” laptop. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought a “refurbished” device only to receive something that looked and performed like it had been to war. Echoing what others have said, this is the exact opposite. My laptop came well-packaged and it comes in Microsoft Certified Refurbished white box. It was even packaged like it was brand new with the plastic wrap on the device and accessories (which were also new). Furthermore, there were no signs of wear or use on the laptop. It looks like a brand new device. I checked the battery health (both with Windows and Linux) and both report the battery at 100% health. In fact, Windows had the cycle count at 2.

Amazing. Get a USBC Charger – I don’t normally write reviews unless I’m severely disappointed, or extremely impressed. This is an extremely impressed review. I bought this refurbished Surface Go (128GB), thinking it would be a nice little emailer/surfer/travel PC that was USED but serviceable. When I first opened the box, I though Amazon made a mistake and sent me a new unit. This impression continues as I write this. Full original retail packaging. Even the charger came perfectly wrapped in the little plastic thingies. I can’t find one scratch, dent, smudge or blemish. There is ZERO indication that this is not a new unit. …except for the “Refurbished” text printed on the low left of the retail box. Maybe this a a roll of the dice, or maybe not.
