Stopped charging after a few days – I purchased this to replace a Windows Surface Laptop I had just returned for a keyboard problem out of the box and was hoping this one would be ok. But several days after purchase, it would no longer charge. I take great care of computer equipment, usually a laptop lasts me years until I finally decide to upgrade just for features, not for damage, as I don’t damage my equipment.

Battery died one month out of warranty, fix is $500! – The laptop was fine while it worked. And suddenly, out of the blue, it started turning itself off after 30-45 seconds. Windows updates, firmware updates, “resetting” the PC, driver updates, re-installing Windows several times, now it will stay booted with the power supply plugged ( base install of Windows 10 Home, no updates ). Only repair option is to send the 13 month old laptop in for replacement, for $500! Battery is glued in, not user serviceable! Terribly disappointed with serviceability and reliability of the Surface Laptop 3.

Update software – I was having issues at first while trying to download apps from Microsoft store and sign in to my email. Once I updated the whole computer (took several hours for update) everything has and is working well. Only issue I was having was outdated software, aside that I like the laptop. They should come with updated softwares though, people who are not tech savvy will think the worst with the error codes I was getting. Especially from a refurbished laptop lol great laptop though, I would buy again for my niece when she graduates high school

Worth the money – This laptop is worth the money, yes you could go spend alot less to have a laptop but trust me you wouldn’t be happy. This laptop is light weight, fast processing speeds, and very user friendly. I love the touch screen as well, it was a feature I wasn’t sure I would use but it turns out I use it a bunch! Overall love this laptop!

Disappointed – I got this laptop almost a year ago and really the only plus is the battery life. The durability is atrocious and boot up speed is sub par. Not to mention the screen will constantly glitch out and sometimes will completely brick and go black and won’t respond to being turned on or anything. This behavior has nothing to do with the screen damage, which I will talk about next. Within the first few month I had it the screen completely shattered from attaching a webcam to it. Keep in mind I was EXTREMELY delicate with it and have use this same device with other, equally thin screens with no issues. Sure enough, I saw other reviews online of people’s screens inexplicably cracking as well from virtually nothing. The rubber grips on the bottom have also fallen off and are gone. I still use this occasionally but my other computers, which are older btw and about the same specs, run better and are not falling apart. Really disappointed in Microsoft tbh usually a big fan.

I plugged it in, thought it would take awhile to charge, did my updates signed on all the stuff you do getting a new computer… BUT NOOOOOOO I was watching the battery on the laptop and it wasn’t charging only saying plugged in.. then I let it charge for a few hours… opened it, then i noticed no charge. I am Pis…. Love this laptop and I need to travel in a few days. This was my laptop.. Now I am screwed. Thank you.. Oh and all it came in was bubble wrap… come on it said excellent condition! It wasn’t now I have to return it

warranty ended. wifi failed no possible fix, system crashes and followed by turning into a brick – Don’t get it, just get literally anything else. Worse than apple. At least apple have independent repair shops for even water damage. This you have to pay up. literally a month after warranty ended, the laptop no longer recognize its own wifi card, then it will blue screen within 2hrs, reinstalling windows will then brick your computer, you won’t be able boot uefi mode.
