New purchase – Only owned for a few weeks. So far it’s been a good tablet. The battery life may be less than the previous Lenovo I had. Very good price and case.

Great features, Parental control and ringing the device option – This is a great tablet. I love it because of:

Not bad kids tablet, protective (little heavy), easy to setup – If you want a big screen tablet that is good for children, this one does a great job. The first thing I will say is that the difference on this one is that the tablet has a larger screen than many other tablets but similar specifications so be aware of that. The specifications are very basic which you should know before purchasing this. In terms of children usage, this tablet has the needed specifications to run most of the children application but you will see a few lags here and there when you are switching between the different applications. Also the application may lag a bit at first when you load it but it levels off and runs okay after a few seconds. This tablet does run on a bit of a stripped down version of Android. It still has a bit of bloatware which I would highly recommend getting rid of. The nice thing about it having that android OS is that in the future if your child outgrows the children application, they can actually just switch the the android. That being said, the device can be a bit slow if you do switch to just android due to have limited resources. It does have a quad core processor but it only has two GB of ram. I wish it had three GB of ram at least to give it a better performance but it will work for now. It runs android 11 which is not too old but it is still very ram intensive just with basic usage. I did not see any updates for android 12 nor do I expect it to get an update for that. I would always recommend that you stick with the children’s UI interface. Note that it will always boot to the children’s UI after the initial setup. They cannot exit the application without a password. You will be notified the moment they try to close the application if you set it up that way. That being said, the children’s UI is more optimized to use the resources the best. It is not perfect but it does a decent job for the most part. The tablet can run most kids games pretty well. Again that only see issues when switching between applications. There is a slight lag and possible crash between application changes. The screen size is 10 inches with okay resolution. It does come with a case preinstalled. It is a simple thick blue case. You can be sure that it is a protective, but it does make the tablet a bit heavier. It can be hard to grip for a child so be aware of that. It also will hurt if it happens to fall on your foot or something so handle with care. The case does hug the tablet pretty tightly so you do not have to worry about it being taken out by a child. It takes the jaws of life to get the tablet out of the case. Honestly I am not even sure you can remove the tablet from this case. It does the job in protecting the tablet from drops and such. My nephew has dropped this a few times and so far nothing bad has happened. It is not entirely protective as if it was dropped directly on an edged corner and hit the screen directly than it could be damaged. The blue case is bright and easy to spot. It is also easy to get noticeably dirty easily. I would recommend just wiping it down every few days. One thing to avoid is using alcohol because I noticed the material starting to peel. The is a very sturdy stand on the back so you can prop up the tablet. The angle can be adjusted as needed which is nice. It does not take up too much effort to open but it holds into place pretty well. It is a pretty big stand so you should not have to worry about it not being able to support much weight. Short of falling it on with your whole weight, it should not break or anything. It is a simple plastic though so it does worry me about long term use or if the tablet were to fall off the table with the stand out. It has a camera and the thick case does not effect the lighting when taking a picture. The camera is not going to be the best quality but it gets the job done. The case being thick makes it is also harder to scratch the camera lenses. It is easy to clean with just a simple wipe. As stated before, it can run as a normal android tablet if you want it to which is nice as it could grow with the child. Unfortunately the tablet running on android OS can be a bit slow but it does do the basics like youtube and web browsing from when I tried it. It definitely will not run any android games unfortunately without significant lag. The tablet will automatically boot into android for setup and you will need to go through this setup in order to setup the children OS for the first time. For the most part, the android user interface is pretty much just like any other android. Upon boot up, I would recommend removing as much unneeded application from the tablet as you can to improve the device performance. I usually have to remove it from the app store which is the easiest way in my opinion. I would say it is a basic tablet and it does the job for kids. The screen feels a pretty smooth which means you will get finger prints on it. The battery life is not too bad but I do notice that it does drain a bit faster than other tablets. I am not sure if it is because of the screen but it is not too much of a difference. It can last up to six hours on use. With standby, it pretty much needs a recharge every two days (possibly longer). The next thing about this is the children’s app. There is an app that pretty much turns the tablet into a children friendly tablet. The parents have full control over it down to setting up a password to prevent someone from closing the application. After the initial setup, it will automatically boot and open into the application upon completion of the setup. The application is very smooth and works really well. It also does not require too much space as 32 gb was more than enough to store everything needed. There does not seem to be any expandable memory size. The applications are pretty challenging depending on the game or application so be aware of that. Even for an adult, I had some issues with a few of these games because it required you to solve something in less than two to three seconds. This can be extremely difficult for a child but that is okay because they can learn. That being said this was like two out of several application that was a bit challenging. For the most part, it is a great tool to help kids learn and give them practice on things like memory. Some of the applications do require payment to get but you can avoid this if needed. It will require you password to purchase so you child cannot accidentally purchase it. I do wish they could have put youtube kids on the app so the kids have some access to that. You have to actually exit the application in order to get to youtube kids and I wish the app could be opened from inside the children app. I assume this just has to do with google not wanting to integrate their system into this. In order to exit the app though, the child will have to have to know the parental password so it kind of defeats the purpose. There are several games from math to basic shapes. Everything has a level pretty much and majority of them are free although I did see some applications you had to pay for. The sound quality is okay. The case is pretty thick and there is a very strong stand on the back so you can have it lean if needed. Overall I think this device for what the cost is and the usage is perfect. If you are trying to find a good tablet that you have more control over and provides your child with a ton of different learning tools this works. It will grow with them and eventually you could just turn it into a normal android tablet although it is not the most responsive tablet. Honestly it lags a bit. It will run basic applications but nothing that is ram intensive as it only has two GB. There 32 gb memory is more than enough for what most children application require. It can also store a few videos if needed but you will require existing the children application in order to view it. The tablet design is very simple design and the screen touch responsiveness is actually pretty strong compared to other tablets. The only thing I wish is that it had a bit more ram and a handlebar of sort to hold the tablet.

Bought this as a gift for my daughter – I have yet to use this device as I’ve purchased it with the intent of giving it to my 3 year old for Christmas. I actually bought her fire tablet for Christmas last year but there are a lot of restrictions and it’s almost too pre-programed. She is constantly having issues with it going off line or saying it’s offline when it’s not. And I wanted a tablet that would support the Google play store and based on all the previous reviews I feel that this going to be exactly what I’m looking for! I’m eager to see how this tablet compares to the kids fire tablet and will update once it’s in use!

Wonderful battery life and picture quality – I purchased two of these tablets for my sons and they love them. There’s just enough memory to support their games and activities. I’ve downloaded movie apps so they can play movies which don’t take up space by downloading. I love that it charges pretty quickly and allows them to use it wirelessly all day. The bumper cover keeps it safe and prevents it from being broken from falls. My 4 yo has dropped it many times and has even stepped on it. The tablet is durable and continues to work well and hold up to the preschooler’s energetic life! I think these are very affordable and great gifts for any child between ages 4-10 who are starting off with technology.

Great battery life and seems sturdy – Bought this for our 4 year old to replace another tablet that wouldn’t load ABC Mouse anymore. The battery also began to overheat. We’ve only had this table a few weeks but so far so good! The case is really nice and the fact that it came with the case was a real bonus!
