Laptop is inoperable 1 year after purchase – Similar experience to other reviewer… Purchased laptop Nov 2021 and by Nov 2022 it was dead. It was a known issue to Lenovo but they failed to notify me to update the BIOS before it died. It happened 9 days after warranty expired and now I have to purchase an extended warranty for them to fix it but I have to wait 30 days because warranty expired. It was related to the power cord and/or Lenovo docking station. It may only be related to this particular model but I wouldn’t trust a company that didn’t attempt to notify customers of this pending issue. Buyer beware! You can search various forums to see this is not a isolated incident.

Power port broke after less than a year – This laptop worked great—until it didn’t. It only has a USB-C port, and if the power cord going into it gets bumped up or down, well, the port detaches from the motherboard and the laptop will not charge/work. And repairing it is very pricy. Never again will I buy a laptop that has only a USB port to power it.

ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 – i was a little skeptical being that this has an AMD processor. most always im an intel guy. but the price was right, and reviews seemed good and legit so i ordered 2 of them. the hard drive was too small but since we are an IT company that was not an issue. pulling the bottom cover off was easy. no hidden latches or screws. i found that there is onboard 8Gb ddr4 and one slot with an 8Gb chip installed. i removed the half height NVME drive and installed a full size 500Gb NVME drive. there are 2 slots and only slot 2 will take a full size drive the other slot will only do half size. the hinges are mounted with 3 screws behind the cover and 1 outside the cover…so ill expect not to have hinge problems for quite a while. also, like that it came with 10 pro activated. the install of windows 10 was smooth. i used a usb installer but next time ill try the pxe boot. overall id recommend this product.
