Un pequeño gigante en tu escritorio – Desde que conoci al NUC me gusto, el tamaño es ideal para liberar espacio en tu escritorio o en tu sala de descanso, viene con disco SSD y memoria que cumplen su trabajo y con una licencia de Windows 10 pero siendo realista con una distribucion Linux puedes convertir el equipo en un centro de entretenimiento.

BUYER BEWARE: Critical sound output issues through HDMI – This would have been a stellar computer for our entertainment room tv except for one critical problem. The Intel NUC boxes have a crazy audio output bug. You’ll boot the computer and pull up your favorite streaming platform, and the second you hit play on your show, a little red X appears on your audio icon in the taskbar, and the windows tell you “No Audio Output Driver found.” You reboot. It happens again. and again. and again. Now your dinner is cold and you’re fuming. Again. We tried every fix we could find online, including (of course) updating the audio drivers, updating the display drivers (which contain the audio output through HDMI), updating the bios, updating windows, reinstalling everything… nothing works. You get sound maybe 20% of the time you boot this thing up. If you didn’t need sound, i guess this would be a nice little box but if you want it for watching TV, this thing is basically a recipe for high blood pressure. Our family calls it “the curse” because every time you forget to set the thing up before bringing your hot food to the TV room, you’re in for disappointment. Oh and yes you can bring up your show and test the audio and pause it… THEN go get your dinner, but if you pause it too long and it goes to screensaver, you find out that the audio output device disappeared again. Customer support is useless because it’s the modern world so good luck getting anyone to help or recognize your deep deep internal suffering. After 3 years, you suck it up and buy a refurbished mac mini which has comparable specs but only cost half as much as you paid for this thing, and you debate selling this thing but you spent so much on it, you just keep it in a junk drawer in hopes that maybe someday you will find a use for it. This is your fate, if you choose to buy this thing. Your destiny awaits.

Computer fine, extras missing – The computer itself is as advertised and excellent. However, the listing said it shipped with a thunderbolt 5Gbps hub, but shipped with nothing. I wrote to the seller to request the hub, and was sent a different brand USB 2.0 hub, which is not equivalent.

Power issues, randomly turns off – I purchased 2 of these at the same time. Within 2 months they are both randomly powering off during use at 2 different locations. I will update my review based on how this is handled and whether I end up with working machines or not.
