Great little machine controller – Currently tinkering with Mach 3 and a mill, but it is obviously well-suited for controlling a 3D printer for which the SD card is either unreliable due to temperature within the print chamber, or a network of 3D printers (haven’t tried it yet, but no performance issues with just one machine, and these aren’t altogether demanding tasks, either).

The little computer that could – Lots of computer for a little money. Mine came equipped better than advertised from ReviveIT. Some light dust internally, not a problem. I5 6600t. 256Gb SSD with fresh registered copy win 10 pro. Lots of updates. Open M.2 slot. 16GB ddr4 memory. WiFi/Bluetooth card with antenna. Dell 65w power supply. Cheap HP keyboard and HP mouse. Scratch on case, not really a concern at this price point especially when you factor in the upgraded CPU. I’m super happy with mine. Fairly legit computer for the price of a gimpy raspberry pi. Planning to run virtual box on it, to try out multiple OSes, sandbox environment. A lot more efficient than my normal rig (dual xenon 16 core /32 thread 1400w workstation) even though less powerful.

Shorter than a 32oz Gatorade bottle… – Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro PC is about the size of paperback book! It has an Intel Core i5 6th Gen CPU w/16GB RAM, 256 2.5″ SSD Sata drive, 1 rear DisplayPort,1 HDMI, 4 rear USB 3 ports, Ethernet & plug for Wifi antenna. The front has 1 USB 3 port & 1 USB-C along with Mic & Headphone plugs. I removed the 2.5″ SSD & replaced it w/TeamGroup 512GB M.2 SSD. It shows SSD not NVMe for the description near the port. Didn’t try one either cuz I was short on time to test it out. So far, runs good. Only complaint is that I can now hear the CPU fan get louder as it sits idle. I mounted the PC behind my 27″ Planar monitor with a Mount from Humancentric. Will be looking 2 buy a 2nd Dell 7050 for other home office.

Cheapest home theater and streaming system out there for 4k – Review for: Dell OptiPlex 7050 Micro Computer, Intel Quad Core i5-6500T up to 3.1GHz, 16G DDR4, 256G SSD, Windows 10. ALthough site didn’t mention it, it also came with wifi and antenna, and Bluetooth.

This was Flawless – I originally bought this to use as a backup utility computer (for some home automation), as it was cheaper than a Raspberry Pi 4. After it arrived, I was so impressed that I actually let it do all of the Windows updates. Now I am using it as a secondary Windows computer to augment my Mac and Linux environment.

Good, but inconsistent. – I needed a couple of cheap workstations for an auto workshop and purchased two of these, a week apart. Both are functional, but the two computers appear to have been refurbished by different companies, have differing hardware, and different issues. The included keyboards and mice were also of differing brands, though these peripherals were brand new on both computers.
