Dell Computer – Dell does not support windows 11 on this model at this time. Works excellent with windows 10

Its okay – The computer itself was in excellent shape. However, the description said it had WiFi and Bluetooth… Well these are managed with USB dongles which have basically a ten foot range. That may be okay for a Bluetooth mouse, but the WiFi connection sucked. I invested in a second Wifi USB dongle and as long as the PC was within 20 feet of the router, the connection was acceptable. At least the hard drive functioned well and Windows was a good install, unlike my last two refurbished experiences…

Good Value – This was a good value for what I needed. The keyboard was very used so replaced it. The hard drive was extremely slow and noisy so I replaced it. Now only have $250 in a decent desktop, which isn’t bad.

Good Value – The Computer shipped was exactly as specified an OptiPlex 3040. Getting the machine up and running was less difficult than prior experiences I have had with refurbished computers. The machine practically looked brand new. After using the 3040 for a month I am a happy customer. Dell OptiPlex computers run very quietly.

Seller needs to fix their product description. – Take note that this item is being shipped with a standard HDD. When I purchased it I wasn’t paying enough attention and saw that it said SSD in one place and didn’t notice it said Hard Drive in another place. I was going to have to voice the warranty by breaking the seal to open the tower (Which is stupid because brand new from Dell these didn’t even ship with warranty stickers) to install another network adapter for setting this up as a firewall. But now I’m also going to have to install an SSD in here because I don’t want to go through the hassle of sending it back for a refund. FIX YOUR DESCRIPTION. It should not say SSD anywhere in this items description, because it is not an SSD.

Avoid Blair Technologies, bait and switch – If you buy this product make sure you don’t buy it from Blair Technologies. My PC was supposed to come with a SSD, but it came with a regular HD instead. Of course I didn’t find this out until 6 months after purchasing it, when i reached out to the seller I was basically told that their was nothing they would do for me since it was past the 90 day warranty even though it was their mistake. I question whether it was bait and switch since the HD failed after only 6 months. Glad I found this out before I purchased the 5 other I planned on buying.
