Lasted 6 years flawlessly now she’s acting up. – Had zero issue with the EC850LCD purchased fall of 2016. December of 2022 it just kills power to all but one outlet and lose the screen. After unplugging all devices, unplugging and pressing power it seemed to work again. Showing 120 minutes of backup and worked for about 3 days before repeating this issue. I guess at this point I’ll co wider it a loss and she did good for 6 years which is I guess acceptable protection.

Must have System – This CyberPower UPS system works as an excellent surge protector and battery backup. There are occasional outages in my area. I felt I needed an UPS with battery backup. I was teleworking a few weeks ago, the power went out, and the CyberPower system notified me via alarm right away that the power was out. It gave me enough time to power down my PC and electronics. It is great to be able to view the logs and see exactly at what time the power went out. I can also see that my devices have approximately 20 minutes of battery backup.

Good value – Very good UPS, wish it had USB outlets though. I mostly use the backup for my weather station.

Peace of Mind – I have several of these around the house protecting computers and important electronics because we get a lot of random 2-second power outages/surges. I’ve found that over 5 years, they are no longer dependable, so I no longer wait for them to fail and just replace them every 5 years. I actually bought this one to replace another that had failed just under three years. I was going to contact the company for warranty but then it started working again and I couldn’t re-create the problem. I can’t really trust it anymore so I’ll find a use for it somewhere less important. I wasn’t too pleased about that, but that was the only one I had problems with under 5 years.

Bought it for our network equipment, got another for the FIOS ONT – These are great value for money, obviously not designed to run huge rigs of computers and servers, but for the minor use to keep out UniFi network equipment up and running during minor power outages is what these things were meant for.

Very nice UPS for a reasonable price – I work in IT; I have eight UPSes because I live in a home that has what you might call…. “dirty” electricity. This works exactly as designed. I used it during a hurricane, connected to a gas generator, to condition power to a refrigerator, and provide backup power to battery chargers and one of my Alexa hubs. Had no issues. It is worth the money. How long will it run – depends on how you use it. Mine was 810v/550w which made it fine for chargers, alexa, dedicated to a computer, etcetera. The conditioning outlets that don’t provide backup power can condition anything you’d normally plug in – again, I used it for a refrigerator – it’d never keep it running in an outage, but it kept the device from suffering from spikes and drops. Oh – very minimal, but essential display. Gives you what you need to know. I’d buy another if I had to replace one of my existing UPSes.
