A good option for eye health – Colors are not that vibrant, but are quite enough better than black and whites. I think the size is perfect, I personally use it to read the whatsapp messages on the browser with whatsapp web, and works perfectly, I can send text, audios. Is fast, and you can install any app from Google play. Actually I’m a software developer and I can run laravel in this little machine, which is awesome to be honest. I’m happy with this little device, I think is expensive but not many options on the market. Sound is decent and pen works perfect. Not heavy, I expected the battery least more, but it’s ok. Without wifi about 3 to 5 days, with wifi 1 day or less. Can se videos decently, and refresh rating is pretty good

Yeah, a review… – I bought this for work. I already did a review that got withdrawn. It was about security and privacy. This tablet does not have either. Please only buy it if you don’t mind.

Good product, but expensive. – I read a lot of manga and pdf files every day. I always want to have a colorful e-ink reader instead of reading on my iPad. So, I bought this one as soon as it was available.

3 things to consider to choose Boox – This is a fantastic item you don’t know how much you need. I choose Boox over the other epaper tablets because I’ve always, my whole life (mid-40s lawyer) I’ve used blue ink. I hate black ink. So I could not bear the fact of not having colored pens to take my notes. A second option I choose Boox is because it has what they call a backlight. Apparently, these e-paper tablets are not regular iPad-like screens, so when you don’t have a light, you can’t see; like reading or writing on regular paper, this Boox has an Indiglo-like light from a 1990 wristwatch, but with 2022 technology, so I can use it in the dark. A third option I chose is because I don’t really care about the “paper” feel. It’s not that great. I can not say much because I’ve never tried tablets that claim to feel as real as paper. It is not either like writing on glass, as it feels on an iPad, but somewhere in the middle. Anyhow there is a learning curve. It has many customizable options, but once you figure them out, it becomes the middle person between your brain and the outside world.

This is the one you’re looking for – I have been buying and getting disappointed with pen based computers, tablets, phones, etc. for many, many years. I started on an (old at the time) Compaq pen based Windows XP computer that just never quite could run the pretty-good-if-not-great Pen based version of XP at a satisfactory speed.

The best of it’s kind – I am not going to compare it with iPad and then give it two stars. It is good , as the best in the market, at what it does : being a colour e-ink reader that runs android. Now you can talk all day about its issues but if you are serious about eye strains, this is the best you can get to avoid it. Even if it is not as fast as an iPad
