Super fast – Opened the case and put in my 1TB second drive. Turned on, and after I went through all the microsoft “learning” windows, I was off and running. 16GB DDR4 and 500GB M-2 drive work great. No fan Noise. Well maybe a whisper. The U59 is a great computer for the $$. I bought to use in my shop for running my laser and CNC. Came with windows 11 Pro installed.

The processor works very well. Very efficient as advertised and great for remote work. – I love the scaled-down, lightweight, small footprint advancement in technology this mini-pc presents. It works as advertised. That said, it does heat up a little bit and the adaptor remains oversized to enable the small footprint of the feather-light machine. Also, the sound card is slightly weaker than the RealTek brand offered on the HP mini-pcs. I think the slightly diminished robustness of the sound quality is the one thing that was noticeably different, but if the pc is to be used in a portable fashion or for working remotely, this is a great pc for that type of thing.

Beelink’s Mini PC is the future – I purchased this Mini PC by Beelink to do two things for me. First to be a media server for distributing Hi-Res music files to my AVRs and stereo system. Second, to transfer files from my weather station to various online servers. Yea, two unrelated tasks but this just shows how diverse the application of this mini-PC can be. This PC handles Windows 11 faster than an older gaming PC I own but because of the graphics card limitations it’s difficult to recommend this Mini PC for intensive game usage. However, this PC would be a great addition for those needing to support office or school applications as well as general home computing needs. My only complaint was the length of the electric cord from the outlet to the PC is REALLY short that it requires the PC to be positioned much closer to an electrical outlet or power strip than I wanted it to be. Otherwise though, there isn’t much you can improve in a Celeron-based Mini PC such as this as it’s near-perfect for my uses.

Before erasing windows to install a real operating system, I gave it a try to see how things worked out. If you are doing non-gaming duty, this little guy was pretty good- I was on a 1080p monitor, so I can’t speak to the ability of 4k, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was good at that as well. On the linux side, it was an easy install. Anaconda picked up everything I needed it to have immediately, zero headache what so ever. I didn’t bother updating the ram or drive, and it’s been solid since day one, going on a few weeks now.
