Only use it as a Plex Server – It works great for this function. It does hardware transcoding, even though AMD is not known to be compatible with Plex for that. I just use a Synology NAS as the storage. Way more powerful than the Synology for running Plex. By the way, I bought the 4800U, no sure why Amazon sent the link to review the 5560U. It has a better passmark if you look it up.

I think this computer is spot on! – I like lots of things about this PC. The physical size is fantastic, the lack of noise is incredible, the performance is crispy and solid – this computer is totally what I needed but didn’t know it, I was shopping for another laptop and somehow noticed a similar model and here I am, very happily. No complaints at all, going to get another one for a friend for Christmas.

I’ve been happily surprised at how snappy and QUIET this machine is! I bought a more expensive intel nuc thinking it would be better… I’m returning the nuc and keeping this. Hopefully the performance and experience keeps us as on update the ram and storage.

I was a little concerned that the powerful CPU (AMD Ryzen 7-4800u) would overheat but it has had no problems at all. It has such a small form, it will fit wherever you want it to go. I did research and at around $400 this model has an amazing processor and runs every application I have loaded including video editing software.
