Just works. – Love the Chrome box. It just works with no issues. all I do is basic internet use, so I can only speak from that angle. I do like that no matter how many boxes I use, in different locations, any change affects all of them, like it’s the same box, cos it’s the same google account. For print I am using a cloud printer. I’ve never had a problem with viruses, or anything.

Nice compact chrome box for streaming. – I purchased this to replace an out of date first generation Chromebox. Mostly used for streaming video not available on a Roku or Chromecast device. Streaming quality is excellent, but the Celeron chip is not very snappy compared to my old CN60 with an i5 processor. Gets the job done, though.

Really nifty tech – Husband and wife septuagenarians discover that intuitively operational tech still exists even as their cognitive and functional capabilities decline. I had all the peripherals in good working order, but the Dell CPU was inoperable after a long-distance road trip to our new ‘forever home.’ Repairs were exorbitant and and professional tech-wise son urged embrace of Google’s Linux based architecture. The Chromebox was no more expensive than the necessary Dell repairs. It’s fast, pretty intuitive, operationally silent, and has a tiny footprint. So far, (1 month) we like it very much.

My fifth Chromebox. – I love Chromeboxes. As the support runs out, I replace it. I hate to give only two stars, but there is a problem. If fact I bought two of them back to back and they both have the same problem. As I am streaming shows, after an hour or two, the audio quits. The only way to get it back, is to reboot. I thought that the most recent update might take care of the audio problem, but it did not.

Very Good Quality Chrome Box – So far I have not needed tech support and I am not a gamer. What I use it for is a garden variety chrome box. I stopped using a chromebook to try a new chrome box.

Great device but not reliable – I purchased this to provide a browser option for a TCL Roku TV. Chrome OS is perfect for this and when it works, this Chromebox does an excellent job of handling video, sound, access to email and other browser-centric functions. However, I’ve had two fail shortly after receiving them. The first one worked fine with a wifi connection but the ethernet port was unreliable and wouldn’t hold a stable connection. I returned it to Amazon, got another, which worked fine for two weeks until the screen went black. Rebooting and other attempts to get it working failed. I’ve returned this one and will be installing my third ASUS Chromebox. Let’s hope third one works like a charm. I will say that Amazon’s return policies make replacement easy. I did a chat with ASUC support — took a bit of effort to find how to do a support chat on ASUS’s web site — but they suggested sending it in for service, which would have left me without a device for an unknown period of time.
