Good – This laptop is great for gaming. I’ve only had it a few weeks so I will update here if needed. I don’t like that you are forced to use a PIN number every time you get on. Also no manual so you have to look everything up online. Not happy about that. For what it cost they should send a manual. I don’t mind that there is no camera as I never use that anyways. The sound is pretty good and the pic is great. All around a good gaming laptop. Two stars off for having to pin and no manual.

It worked well…until it didn’t. – No complaints on the item as received, it ran relatively well for the first several months with a few minor glitches that were easily sorted (see previous reviews about wireless connectivity and likely Windows-related issues).

Wifi issues and no webcam but otherwise amazing – I don’t know if it’s my 2 year old Wave Broadband router not cooperating well with the laptop’s built-in wifi6 or if there’s something wrong with the built-in wifi, but either way I was having disconnects, lagging in-game, and overall internet issues no matter what settings/drivers I used and when it was working it was barely getting 60Mbps when we pay for 250Mbps (meanwhile other devices connected to this internet are not having problems). I spent weeks trying to troubleshoot the issues and finally just bought a USB wifi adapter (this one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B093FT3H7L) and no more internet problems.

Solid performance with minor keyboard flaws – Got this computer back in March 2022 to replace another laptop I used for game dev purposes, got the 64GB RAM version. Mind you, I’ve not had a situation where I’ve needed this much RAM, so the 32GB would’ve sufficed.

Ok I didn’t even know it had a touch screen…oh wait, that is because it does not have one – I never touch my screen, so that wasn’t an issue. I purchased with this product a full-size keyboard, a gaming mouse, and a 36-inch monitor for when I sit at my desk, but I love having a laptop for its portability. I am a big fan of ASUS and can’t say enough good things about it, my last laptop lasted more than 10 years and saw some real wear and tear. My Desktop PC, also an ASUS has been with me for several moves and almost a decade. I have nothing but high expectations of this new box and hope it has the longevity as the ones previously owned. The picture quality is great, sound could be louder, but it is crisp and clear. Fast processors, even with a slow internet connection. I love how the new 17 inch model is smaller and lighter than my older model.
