Expensive, but excellent quality and performance. – I purchased the entry level Macbook Pro M1 on sale for half the price of this. I have the 8 core processor with 16 MB of memory and a 512 SSD. Less powerful, but plenty of speed for my needs. My most significant application is photo editing and my machine does a fine job. Someone doing significant video editing could use greater memory and cores. The screen quality is superb. Purchasing an entry level Macbook is a step up from the Macbook Air and half the price of this hardware. Apple is superb quality, but you really pay for it. It makes sense to purchase a discounted unit at the end of the model year, unless you are willing to pay a premium for the newest and best.
