You don’t see value like this in a laptop every day – I try really hard not to do same-day delivery reviews, no matter how great I think the product is because you can never tell on that first day what might go wrong later. However, I am actually confident and happy enough with this one to go for it. If I make amendments later, they won’t likely be anything that changes this rating. (updated 6/19/20 – one week, using it for work in web design and content creation, still love it)

– This is the best bang per buck you can get for a latop. Intel has really lagged AMD in recent years, and the newest Ryzen chips are a beast, cpu-wise and graphic-wise. My only complaint about the latop is that the wireless adapter died within 2 weeks. Since I had upgraded the latop to a larger hard drive (2 TB), sending this unit back wasn’t an option. Instead I sucked it up and bought a new wireless AX card from amazon. Everything works great now. For those of you that like to upgrade you laptops, note that both the hard drive and the wirelesss card can be removed and upgraded. The RAM/Memory cannot, as it’s welded onto the motherboard.

Mediocre vessel for a nice CPU – The only reason you’d want to buy this laptop, is because you’re looking for a powerful CPU at the best price. Otherwise the rest of the laptop is mediocre at best. It’s a weird beast. The internals punch above their weight class, while the rest of the laptop falls short.

Not particularly really good unless you just need some thing to take notes in class – I purchased it with my own money during the 2020 pandemic! When my HP envy touchscreen laptop screen started actually splitting from the top portion of the laptop. I needed a good laptop quick and well I am well aware of the fact. Is that I do not have extravagant large paycheck! I would hope that the laptop I was purchasing during this time would do its job. Not only did it absolutely not pick up Wi-Fi during my zoom classes during the pandemic. They would be times where I would just be minding my own business listening to music on YouTube. And the computer would crash. It would literally start glitching out like an old VCR cassette on a television screen and crash. Are there times it would crash but then the screen would freeze and you would have to close the top and open the top and then it resume regular function. Not to mention the 1 million times it froze on me mid zoom lecture ! Also did I also mention that the screen does this wonderful thing where it looks like you put milk white cellophane over the actual portion of the screen. I finally sent it over to be replaced. And only after it was sent over to be replaced. Has it proved to be quite effective. Give it to my younger sister and she says it’s actually brilliant for taking notes on college campus.

It is the latest 4700U Ryzen 7 AMD processor, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB hard drive storage, 14″ Full HD widescreen LED backlit display, raised keys on the backlit keyboard, and up 11.5 hours of battery life. I used it from morning to night before the battery ran down to 15% and I got a warning to plug it in. It is so lightweight that I can hold it in one hand, even though I have fibromyalgia. It is super slim too, very easy to hold and use. The processing speed is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about this laptop, I just love it!
