Not quite “Ultimate”, but still pretty good – If you’re looking a single controller to share between PC and Switch, this is one to look at. This controller is essentially a hybrid of an Xbox Series controller and a Switch Pro controller – built much like the former but with features that allow it to used as the latter. While it does work very well as a hybrid controller for both platforms, there are some limitations that could leave some people wanting in terms of using it on other platforms, or using features of one platform on the other.

– I’ve been using it for 2 weeks or so and it’s been a really good buy. I have dexterity issues in one of my hands so having the option to remap to two back paddles is great.

Some notes about features and connectivity. – There was a lot of contradictory and seemingly just incorrect/incomplete information in the descriptions and FAQs (which, by the way, are out of control. I mean, could you have just typed in “switch” before being the 20th person to ask if it can wake a Switch), so I’m putting this together to set it straight how and what this connects to with caveats that some features may be added or changed in future firmware updates; 8bitdo is generally pretty good about updating its products.

– My new favourite controller. 8bitdo haven’t used that cheap kind of plastic plenty of controllers in this price range tend to use, and is lightweight without feeling cheaply lightweight. Honestly, if you asked me to estimate how much it cost without me knowing, I’d probably give an estimate of around £30 above where it’s actually priced.

– Better than the Gulikit but sometimes the right analog stick gets stuck, This is minor as moving it will restore it back to normal immediately. Would give this controller 8/10 as it lacks xbox functionality but covers everything else besides ps5
